About Me
- Conor Cassidy, Author -
I am based in the wet and windy city of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I graduated from Queen's University, Belfast with a degree in 'Computing and IT' but I try to find time to write in my very limited spare time. My time is usually taken up by a mix of football, darts and the occasional night out socialising with friends. I keep busy coaching a team named St Malachy's Old Boys Youth Football team
From an early age, I always loved stories told to me by my dad. He always offered his unique spin on tales that always drove my imagination wild. After we sadly lost him a few years ago, I decided I wanted to bring a bit of joy into the lives of children in the same way he did for me growing up. I hope that my books will be able to achieve this through the fun stories and some gorgeous illustrations.
This led to me writing my first book, "The Lazy Leprechaun" thanks to the help and support of my girlfriend (Now Fiancée) , Nichola. I began working on my next book, "The Boogerman". This went down extrememly well amongst friends and family and soon I created a few more, including a Mental Health aimed book for the Youth Football team above.
I aim to make my books different from others on the market, to help make reading more fun and enjoyable again. I am also open to suggestions for books so get in touch if you have some crazy ideas!
If anyone else is considering writing their own novel, I would say: get out there and do it. For any help on how to begin, you only need to get in touch.
